BB10 Diyakini Bisa Pikat Pengguna Android dan iPhone
Saat ini bisa dibilang pamor smartphone BlackBerry
sedang kalah dari pesaingnya, Google dengan Android-nya dan Apple
dengan iPhone-nya. Namun, kondisi ini diyakini, oleh petinggi produsen
BlackBerry, akan segera berakhir.
CEO Research In Motion (RIM) Thorsten Heins sangat yakin sistem
operasi BlackBerry 10 dapat mencuri pangsa pasar dari para pesaing, yang
berarti Android dan iPhone.Ini berarti, RIM yakin dapat menggoda pengguna Android dan iPhone untuk beralih ke smartphone BlackBerry dengan OS BB10.
Dalam konferensi tiga bulanan perusahaan
dan investor, Kamis (27/9/2012), Heins juga mengatakan, BlackBerry 10
akan menarik perhatian konsumen baru untuk smartphone.
Pada awal 2013 mendatang, RIM rencananya menghadirkan terlebih dahulu smartphoneBlackBerry 10 untuk segmen konsumen menengah ke atas.Heins juga mengisyaratkan, smartphone segmen menengah ke bawah juga akan hadir tahun depan.
“Kami sedang mengerjakan sebuah konsep untuk entry level. Anda mungkin akan melihat produkentry level tahun depan,” ucap Heins.
Untuk saat ini, RIM merasa puas dengan ketersediaan smartphone bersistem operasi BlackBerry 7, yang dapat menjangkau segmen menengah ke bawah dan menengah ke atas.
RIM telah memperkenalkan sistem operasi BlackBerry 10 dalam acara BlackBerry World di AS, Mei lalu. Sistem operasi ini mengalami perubahan signifikan jika dibandingkan dengan BlackBerry 7. Tiga fitur yang diandalkan meliputi software kamera seperti “mesin waktu,” papan ketik pintar, danmulti-tasking.

In early 2013, RIM plans to bring first BlackBerry smartphone consumer segment 10 for upper middle.
Heins also hinted, middle and lower segments of the smartphone will also attend next year.
“We’re working on a concept for the entry level. You might see next year’s entry-level product,” said Heins.

availability of BlackBerry 7 smartphone operating system, which can
reach the lower-middle segment and upper middle.
